Welcome to Happy Hall at Dolores Way! We’re thrilled to welcome back our returning families and to get to know those who are joining us for the first time. I’m eager to show you and the children the updates we are implementing and share all the exciting plans we have for the upcoming year. Our team is eagerly planning an environment where your children can learn and play. From our redesigned play areas to our new learning materials, we are dedicated to providing a safe and nurturing space where your kids can learn and grow this year. We can’t wait to see them discover all the opportunities waiting for them. We can’t wait to spend this year together with you.
Program Highlights
Engagement Activities
Our first weeks at school will be focused on “Getting to Know You.” The first days of school are dedicated to helping new children feel comfortable, connected and excited about the new school year. Throughout the first weeks children will engage in fun interactive activities designed to help them make new friends, explore their interests and become familiar with their teachers, the routine and the classroom environment. It is a wonderful opportunity for us to learn more about each child’s unique personality and to develop a sense of community. We can’t wait to see the friendships and memories that will blossom!
Professional Development
August 14, 15, and 16 our staff will be learning about Experiential Learning and how to facilitate learning opportunities in the classroom. We will be talking about how to plan curriculum, assessment strategies and ways to keep communication strong using our new App 1Core Class. We will also be preparing for our Orientation Google meets on August 16 and setting up our classrooms with new furniture and materials. It will be lots of work and great time together to work as a team.

September 13th virtual Back to School Night. 1pm pick up for all students
September 21th Park Day 10am-12pm on our Playground
Student Achievements
We are committed to recognizing student achievements, particularly through the demonstration of essential life skills we will be talking about at Happy Hall. Our focus on responsibility, caring, patience, effort, flexibility, and cooperation will help foster personal growth and confidence in every child. We look forward to highlighting their successes throughout the year.
Reminders
To ensure the safety of our students, all individuals picking up or dropping off at Happy Hall must be authorized through 1Core. Each authorized person has a unique 4-digit code that must be provided to a teacher when signing in or out. Please make sure everyone on your list is properly registered and informed of their code.
