Program Highlights:
Student Engagement: We've introduced a series of project-based learning activities which have been met with enthusiastic participation. This month, our themes included 'Community' and 'Building Bonds.'
Team Training: Our staff underwent a comprehensive training session on student engagement and inclusivity practices, ensuring a safe and nurturing environment for all.
Special Events: Last week, our students celebrate our August birthdays! Students shared and learned about unique birthday traditions from various countries and cultures, promoting global awareness and appreciation.
Community Collaboration: We collaborated with the local library for a 'Reading Marathon' which was a huge hit! Many of our students have proudly displayed their reading certificates in their classrooms.
Updates:
Family Information Session: Look out for an invite to our Expanded Learning information event. This will be an great opportunity to delve deeper into our curriculum, understand our methodologies, and meet some of the passionate educators behind the scenes.
Program Expansion: We have had the privilege of serving students at Spring Valley, Meadows, and Green Hills, and those experiences have fueled our desire to reach even more students within our community. We are elated to include Lomita Park and Taylor Middle School as part of our Happy Hall Expanded Learning Programs.
Attendance Policy: We'd like to remind families of the importance of consistent attendance. Please reach out if there are any barriers to your child attending. Our aim is always to support and find solutions.
A Note of Gratitude: We'd like to extend a warm and heartfelt shoutout to all our families. Your patience, understanding, and feedback have been invaluable as we find our rhythm and settle into our new routines. It's your continuous trust and adaptability that propel us forward.
Furthermore, we couldn't possibly overlook the remarkable dedication shown by the principals and secretaries at each of our schools. Their unwavering support, open channels of communication, and commitment to collaboration ensure that our students receive the best experience. These individuals work behind the scenes, often beyond regular school hours, to ensure smooth operations, and we are immensely grateful for their tireless efforts.
