Happy Hall @ Green Hills | October Newsletter

Director's Message

Welcome to October! We’re excited to kick off another month of our after-school program filled with engaging activities and learning opportunities. Our team is dedicated to providing a safe and fun environment for your children to explore, create, and connect with other students. We look forward to another fantastic month ahead!

Program Highlights

Engagement Activities
At the start of October, we will be concluding our theme on space exploration. In the coming weeks, we’ll be introducing a couple new curriculum themes: “Weather and Seasons” and “Sounds and Music.” Students will have the chance to engage in STEAM activities, where they will explore the various seasons and conduct experiments related to rain and hail, along with learning about melodies and rhythm.

In addition, we’re excited to introduce a variety of crafts and fun Halloween activities throughout October, so that students can embrace the spirit of the season while unleashing their creativity!

Professional Development
This month, Happy Hall staff will participate in a staff development training on October 14th. During this session, teachers will collaborate with our administrative team to review various topics aimed at enhancing the overall effectiveness of our after-school programs. Additionally, staff will have the opportunity to further develop their skills to ensure the safety and well-being of our students.

Reminders
  • Please remind students that toys, collectibles, and other personal items from home should not be brought to Happy Hall, as we cannot be held responsible for any lost, broken, or stolen items.
  • If your child will be absent from Happy Hall, kindly inform us via text, email, or 1Core.

Looking Ahead
We’re excited to announce our new curriculum theme, “Wonders of the World”! Starting next month, students will embark on a global journey to explore both natural and man-made marvels. This theme encourages critical thinking about how these wonders were formed or created, as well as their significance to different cultures. Get ready for engaging activities, fascinating discussions, and a deeper appreciation of our planet's incredible diversity! Stay tuned for more updates!
