Happy November Lomita Park Happy Hall Families! I hope you all are staying warm with the cooler weather! We look forward to this month and all the exciting things we have planned for the students! As always, if you ever have any questions please do not hesitate to reach out!
Program Highlights
Engagement Activities
For November, we’re excited to finish our adventure through the theme of Weather & Seasons and progress into our next theme Sounds & Music and Natural Wonders. Students will engage in activities that deepen their understanding of various sounds and music and what goes into the creation behind it. In addition, they will finish the month with learning about the various Natural Wonders of our world. From collaborative projects to local explorations, it’s going to be a month filled with learning and fun!
Community Events
Happy Hall is planning another family event for this month, please keep an eye out for an email with more information soon to come!! Thank you all so much for coming to our October family event and making it such a memorable event!

This month so far, the following students have been recognized as STAR STUDENTS. STAR STUDENTS are students who are identified each week for representing the 4 B’s of Lomita Park, using the life skills we review daily, help other students and/or staff, etc.

Reminders
We would love to remind Happy Hall Lomita Park Families regarding the following:
November 11: Closed for Veteran’s Day
November 28-29 Closed for Thanksgiving
Please send us an email whenever your child(ren) will not be attending the after school program (lomitapark@happyhall.com). This way we know they will not be joining us for Happy Hall. In the event we do not receive notification, we will follow up with a phone call home to inquire about their whereabouts, to ensure they are safe. In addition, if we do not know that your child will be absent and we do not receive notification, after 7 unexcused absences, students will be removed from the program.
For AM care, students should only arrive between the hours of 7:00 am and 7:30 am.. In addition, students who arrive after 7:30 am are marked late; after 7 late arrivals students will be removed from that program specifically, but would still be able to attend the after school program if they are enrolled there as well. For families arriving late, please be sure to fill out the form we have on site and if it is an excusable reason, it will be excused.
If you ever need to pick up your student early, please ensure you are signing the early pickup form, which is located at the sign-out cart in the MUR. If it is not there, please make sure to ask a staff member to grab it for you. As a reminder, if students are picked up early 7 times without this document being filled in, they will be removed from the program as well.
If you wish for your child to walk home, you must complete our Walk-Home Authorization Form. This form must be completed for each student. If you need any assistance or have any questions, please reach out to us and we will be happy to help you!

Looking Ahead
We’re excited to announce our new curriculum theme, “Reactions & Mixtures” & “Oceans and Marine Life”.! Starting next month, students will embark on a journey to explore both how various reactions and mixtures can occur and also getting to deep dive into the lives of what is in our ocean ecosystem! These themes encourage critical thinking about how these things are formed or created and the importance of our oceanic ecosystem. Get ready for engaging activities, fascinating discussions, and a deeper appreciation of our planet's incredible diversity! Stay tuned for more updates!

Aspectos Destacados del Programa
Actividades de Participación
Para noviembre, estamos emocionados de finalizar nuestra aventura a través del tema de Clima y Estaciones y avanzar hacia nuestro próximo tema, Sonidos y Música y Maravillas Naturales. Los estudiantes participarán en actividades que profundizan su comprensión de varios sonidos y música, así como de lo que se necesita para su creación. Además, finalizarán el mes aprendiendo sobre las diversas Maravillas Naturales de nuestro mundo. Desde proyectos colaborativos hasta exploraciones locales, ¡será un mes lleno de aprendizaje y diversión!
Eventos Comunitarios
¡Happy Hall está planeando otro evento familiar para este mes! Estén atentos a un correo electrónico con más información que llegará pronto. ¡Muchas gracias a todos por asistir a nuestro evento familiar de octubre y por hacerlo tan memorable!
Logros Estudiantiles
Hasta ahora este mes, los siguientes estudiantes han sido reconocidos como ESTUDIANTES ESTRELLA. Los ESTUDIANTES ESTRELLA son estudiantes que son identificados cada semana por representar los 4 B’s de Lomita Park, usando las habilidades de vida que revisamos a diario, ayudando a otros estudiantes y/o al personal, etc.

Recordatorios
Nos gustaría recordar a las familias de Happy Hall Lomita Park lo siguiente:
11 de noviembre: Cerrado por el Día de los Veteranos28-29 de noviembre: Cerrado por Acción de Gracias
Por favor, envíenos un correo electrónico siempre que su(s) hijo(s) no asistan al programa después de la escuela (lomitapark@happyhall.com). De esta manera, sabemos que no se unirán a nosotros en Happy Hall. En caso de que no recibamos notificación, realizaremos una llamada telefónica a casa para preguntar sobre su paradero y asegurarnos de que estén seguros. Además, si no sabemos que su hijo estará ausente y no recibimos notificación, después de 7 ausencias no justificadas, los estudiantes serán retirados del programa.
Para el cuidado de la mañana, los estudiantes solo deben llegar entre las 7:00 y las 7:30 a.m. Además, los estudiantes que lleguen después de las 7:30 a.m. serán marcados como tardíos; después de 7 llegadas tardías, los estudiantes serán retirados de ese programa en específico, pero aún podrán asistir al programa después de la escuela si están inscritos allí. Para las familias que lleguen tarde, asegúrense de llenar el formulario que tenemos en el sitio y, si es una razón justificable, será excusada.
Si necesitan recoger a su estudiante temprano, asegúrense de firmar el formulario de recogida anticipada, que se encuentra en el carrito de salida en el MUR. Si no está allí, por favor, pidan a un miembro del personal que se los traiga. Como recordatorio, si los estudiantes son recogidos temprano 7 veces sin que se llene este documento, también serán retirados del programa.
Si desean que su hijo camine a casa, deben completar nuestro Formulario de Autorización para Caminar a Casa. Este formulario debe completarse para cada estudiante. Si necesitan ayuda o tienen alguna pregunta, ¡no duden en comunicarse con nosotros y estaremos encantados de ayudarles!

Mirando Hacia el Futuro
¡Estamos emocionados de anunciar nuestro nuevo tema curricular, “Reacciones y Mezclas” y “Océanos y Vida Marina”! A partir del próximo mes, los estudiantes emprenderán un viaje para explorar cómo ocurren diversas reacciones y mezclas, y también profundizar en la vida de lo que hay en nuestro ecosistema oceánico. Estos temas fomentan el pensamiento crítico sobre cómo se forman o crean estas cosas y la importancia de nuestro ecosistema oceánico. ¡Prepárense para actividades atractivas, discusiones fascinantes y una apreciación más profunda de la increíble diversidad de nuestro planeta! ¡Estén atentos para más actualizaciones!
