Engagement Activities
As we dive into the new year, we're gearing up for an exciting exploration in Theme 6 of our curriculum: Sounds & Music. This unit offers a myriad of ways to delve into the rich tapestry of musical cultures, emphasizing how sound and rhythm contribute to holistic child development. From understanding how our brains recognize specific sounds to exploring emotional reactions to music, we'll be crafting our own simple instruments, curating musical collages, and even producing music videos with our older groups.
In addition to our musical journey, this month holds a special focus on Martin Luther King, Jr. and his enduring legacy of peace and equality for all. We're eager to embark on this meaningful exploration together.
Professional Development
This month our team will utilize a few hours of staff development to focus on curriculum, Summer Camp information and to simply gather as a team and discuss ways to support each other and the children in our programs.

Student Achievements
Reflecting on our winter camp, it was heartwarming to witness children making connections within small groups and forming new friendships. The extended time allowed us to delve into enriching activities spanning STEAM, Movement, and Social-Emotional Learning (SEL). Our emphasis on life skills brought valuable lessons and growth opportunities.
The Fridays were festive, featuring cozy pajama days, Pizza and Salad lunches, and engaging Minute to Win It games. These moments of shared joy and camaraderie added an extra layer of magic to our winter camp experience. Here's to the memories created and the bonds strengthened during this special time together!
