Happy Hall @ Meadows | October Newsletter

Director's Message

As the holiday season begins, we are excitedly preparing for our annual Halloween Haunted House and Potluck this month. Alongside the fun, we remain dedicated to practicing life skills daily and fostering a safe, caring community for everyone at Happy Hall.

During this busy time, it’s also important to make sure you and your children find moments to relax and unwind. The season can be overwhelming, and children may find it hard to express when they’re feeling tired or need a break. Even taking 5-10 minutes for a quiet connection can make a big difference, helping everyone recharge and feel more balanced.

Program Highlights

Engagement Activities
This month, we kicked off our curriculum with a continued exploration of space. In the coming weeks, we’ll be diving into themes like seasonal changes and sounds & music, along with some fun Halloween-themed activities to celebrate the season.

Professional Development
During our staff development on October 14, 2024, we will focus on training to enhance classroom management skills, deepen understanding of daily routines, and explore new strategies to better support the children in our programs.

Community Events
October 9-11 & 15-18 Conferences.  Happy Hall will pick up children at 1:15 pm daily.
October 14  Happy Hall Expanded Learning Closed.
October 31 Haunted House & Potluck. Sign up for the potluck will be located on the front entry door.

Reminders
Please remember to notify us of your child’s absence through 1Core, phone, or email by 1:00 p.m. on the day they will be out.

A reminder that early pick-up for TK/K is at 3:00 p.m. Please ensure you sign out with a staff member as soon as you arrive to avoid additional fees. The program closes at 6:00 p.m., and if you anticipate being late, please notify us immediately. After 6:05 p.m., a late fee of $5.00 per minute will be charged.

During our Halloween celebration, 5th graders will assist with the Haunted House as guides and scarers. We have five levels of scaring and they will receive guidance on how each level works. If your child prefers not to enter the Haunted House, they are still welcome to enjoy the potluck and other activities.

Looking Ahead
As we transition into November, we will start preparing for our holiday event. We are also excited to host our first camp of the school year. Be sure to sign up early to reserve a spot for your child!
