Director's Message
Thank you for joining us for our Hall-iday party in December! We hope you had a wonderful time exploring the classroom and spending quality moments with your children in their after-school or preschool space. It was a joy to see families enjoying warm, cozy cups of hot chocolate and participating in engaging activities together. As the year continues, we’re excited to host more family events and create even more special memories. We hope your holiday season was filled with rest, relaxation, and cherished time with family and friends.
Program Highlights
Engagement Activities
This month, children in aftercare will shift gears from learning about holidays around the world to diving into the ocean depths! We’ll explore the fascinating creatures that call the ocean home, as well as the unique parts of the ocean and the animals that thrive in its deepest depths. Through arts and crafts, movement games, and science activities, children will engage in hands-on learning about marine life. As we wrap up our study of the ocean, we’ll transition into learning about groundbreaking innovations and the inventors who changed history. This progression will foster critical thinking, creativity, and problem-solving skills.
Meanwhile, children in preschool will continue their journey through the alphabet, focusing on letters Q, R, S, and T. Be on the lookout for new art projects displayed around the room, showcasing their creativity. At Happy Hall, we also emphasize social-emotional development by helping children navigate upsets and providing them with the language and tools to communicate effectively with their peers, fostering independence and empathy.
Community Events
Thank you for helping to make our Hall-iday party super fun and successful! Your enthusiasm and participation brought so much joy to the event and made it truly memorable for everyone. We are looking forward to hosting more family events throughout the year and creating even more opportunities to connect and celebrate together!
PRESCHOOL FAMILIES – Parent-teacher conferences are coming! Please be on the lookout for more information from Miss Jay, as she will share specifics on dates and times for you to sign up. These conferences are a valuable opportunity to discuss your child’s progress, celebrate their milestones, and collaborate on ways to support their growth and development.
Student Achievements
Star Student is off to a fantastic start! Congratulations to our December winners: Dylan, Micah, Corrine, Emma H., Edison, Leo, Vivian, Delaney, Livie, Brendan, Aren, Jack, Maui, Mira, and Miles! It has been wonderful to see our school-age students putting in such great effort and working hard to earn special activities. We’re excited to watch their continued progress and can’t wait to celebrate even more achievements in the months ahead!
Reminders
Please remind students that toys, collectibles, and other personal items from home should not be brought to Happy Hall, as we cannot be held responsible for any lost, broken, or stolen items. This rule applies to both school age and preschool programs.
If your child will be absent from Happy Hall, please notify us via text, email, or through 1Core. Also, kindly take a moment to review our sick policy. If your child needs to leave early due to illness, please try to pick them up as soon as possible.
Happy Hall will be CLOSED Monday, January 20 for Martin Luther King Jr. day
