Happy October, Ocean Shore families! Welcome to fall! With plenty of fun activities and learning experiences planned, your children will be exploring new themes and creating lasting memories. We’re grateful to have you with us and look forward to continuing this exciting journey together!
Program Highlights
Engagement Activities
As we enter October in our school-age program, we're excited to wrap up our exploration of space and transition to our new theme: Weather & Seasons. Throughout the month, students will engage in a variety of activities designed to deepen their understanding of how weather changes throughout the year. From group projects to interactive experiments with rain and hail, this month will be full of fun and learning! We’ll also begin preparing for Halloween and the fall season, incorporating science and crafts to create a festive classroom atmosphere. We’re looking forward to some exciting Halloween fun later this month!
In Preschool, we’re fully embracing October and gearing up for a month filled with Halloween and fall festivities! Teacher Jay has been busy planning an exciting lineup of activities, including not-so-spooky science experiments and creative crafts like making slime and witches’ potions. From hands-on projects to engaging fall-themed fun, this month promises to be packed with excitement and creativity. Keep an eye out for more details from Jay on how families can join in on our Halloween celebrations—we can’t wait to share the fun with you!
Professional Development
We’re looking forward to our next training on November 1st for both school age and preschool staff, where we will continue to enhance our skills and strategies for fostering a positive and safe environment for all students.
Community Events

We’re excited to invite parents to our Preschool Learning in Action event on Friday, October 11th, from 4:00 to 5:00 PM. This is a great opportunity to join us for a quick circle time demo and explore our discovery centers alongside your children, giving you a glimpse into their day.
Student Achievements
We are excited to finally introduce our STAR STUDENT program next week! Each week, teachers will select students who demonstrate important life skills such as kindness, creativity, good listening, cooperation, responsibility, and more. We even asked the children what kind of prizes they'd like to earn and stocked up on all sorts of fun rewards! I can’t wait to celebrate and "shout-out" all the positive behavior we see in our program!

Please remind students that toys, collectibles, and other personal items from home should not be brought to Happy Hall, as we cannot be held responsible for any lost, broken, or stolen items.
