Director's Message
As we begin this new school year at our Ortega location, I’d like to extend a warm welcome to all our families! Whether you’re returning to Happy Hall Schools or joining us for the first time, we’re thrilled to have you in our program. Together, we’re committed to creating a nurturing and dynamic environment where every student can excel.
Our program has been operating at Ortega as TTT for over 20 years and recently transitioned to the stewardship of TTT's long-time friends at Happy Hall Schools. With a shared vision, we will continue to provide a nurturing program while incorporating the latest curriculum and tools to enhance the experience for students, families, and staff.

Program Highlights
Engagement Activities
For August, we’re excited to explore the theme of "Community.” Students will engage in activities that foster connections with one another and deepen their understanding of their surrounding communities. From collaborative projects to local explorations, it’s going to be a month filled with learning and fun as we build strong relationships and a sense of belonging.
Professional Development
Our dedicated staff has been busy this summer, completing training and preparing for the new academic year. They’ve focused on professional development to refine their teaching strategies, set up classrooms, and organize resources to ensure a smooth start to our school year.
New This Year
1CORE Class App Integration: We are excited to introduce the 1CORE Class app for the new school year, providing you with real-time insights into your child's daily activities and achievements, enhancing our communication and partnership with you.
Extended Hours: We are now open from 7:00 AM - 6:00 PM, providing additional flexibility for drop-off and pick-up. Let us know if you would like to adjust your schedule.
Snack: To provide added convenience for our families, we will supply nutritious snacks as part of our program. For our full-day preschool programs, we will offer both a morning and an afternoon snack. Families are required to provide lunches. School-age students will receive an afternoon snack.
Preschool Assessments: Implementing ongoing child assessments will allow us to tailor educational experiences to each child’s needs. Semi-annual parent-teacher conferences will ensure that we are in sync with your aspirations and expectations for your child’s development.
School-Age Enrichment Programs: Beginning in the new school year, our curriculum will be enriched with STEAM, Movement, Mindfulness, SEL, homework support, and special events. These programs are designed to engage and stimulate our students, fostering a well-rounded education.

Reminders
To ensure the safety of our students, all individuals picking up or dropping off at Happy Hall must be authorized through 1CORE. Each authorized person has a unique 4-digit code that must be provided to a teacher when signing in or out. Please make sure everyone on your list is properly registered and informed of their code.

Looking Ahead
Preschool
We're excited to kick off the new school year by warmly welcoming our preschool students to their new learning environment. Our initial focus will be on helping children settle in and establish daily routines. As they become more comfortable, we'll embark on an exciting journey into the fascinating world of transportation. Through engaging activities and explorations, students will learn about different modes of transport and how they help us move from place to place. Here's to a year of growth, discovery, and fun!
School-Age
Along with finishing up our theme of "Community," next month, we will be exploring the theme of "The Natural World!” In this upcoming theme, students will embark on a journey through diverse ecosystems and environmental factors that shape our planet. This theme will foster an appreciation for nature, enhance understanding of biological diversity, and promote awareness of environmental stewardship. We look forward to seeing curiosity and enthusiasm as we dive into the wonders of the natural world!
