I am thrilled to introduce myself as the new director at Taylor Middle School for the upcoming academic year. During the previous school year, I was a substitute for Happy Hall Schools and transitioned to Teen Leader Director at Camp Happy Hall during the summer. It is an honor to join such a vibrant and dedicated community, and I am excited about the opportunities that lie ahead for us all.
As we embark on this new school year, I want to extend a warm welcome to all of our students, parents, and staff. Whether you’re returning to Happy Hall Schools or joining us for the first time, we are all part of a wonderful team committed to fostering a nurturing and dynamic environment where every student can thrive. I am eager to get to know each of you and work together to achieve our shared goals.
Here’s to a fantastic school year ahead!
Program Highlights
Engagement Activities
This month, our curriculum theme centers on fostering a sense of community and belonging as we kick off the school year. We’re focusing on the importance of setting personal and collective goals, and we’re committed to creating a positive and inclusive environment where every student feels valued. Through engaging activities and thoughtful discussions, students will explore ways to build strong connections with their peers and contribute to a supportive school culture, setting the tone for a collaborative and fulfilling year ahead.
Professional Development
Our dedicated staff has been hard at work this summer, completing training and preparing our school for the new academic year. Their commitment and enthusiasm have truly set the stage for a vibrant and successful school year ahead.
Reminders
To ensure the safety of our students, all individuals picking up or dropping off at Happy Hall must be authorized through 1Core. Each authorized person has a unique 4-digit code that must be provided to a teacher when signing in or out. Please make sure everyone on your list is properly registered and informed of their code.
As a reminder, please be sure to notify staff of absences prior to the end of the school day via taylormiddle@happyhall.com, 1Core absence, or go.happyhall.com/absence. All absences must be reported as soon as possible for record-keeping purposes.
Looking Ahead
As we move forward from this week’s focus on community and belonging, our curriculum will transition into a theme centered on building bonds. This theme promotes understanding of the power of friendship and community. It teaches students how to nurture connections, appreciate diversity within their communities, and understand their roles within their local communities.
Thank you for your warm welcome and support as I step into the role of director. I am truly excited about the new beginnings that this school year holds and look forward to the journey ahead with all of you. Here’s to a fantastic year filled with growth, connection, and success!
