Happy Hall @ Taylor Middle Newsletter | January

Director's Message

We hope that all our families had a restful and joyful winter break, filled with moments of warmth and connection. As we step into the new year, we’re excited to welcome our students back to school and look forward to a month of growth, learning, and new experiences. January is filled with opportunities, and we can't wait to see what our students will achieve in the coming weeks! Here's to a successful and inspiring start to 2025!

Program Highlights

Engagement Activities

This month, we’ll continue our exploration of "Reactions and Mixtures," delving further into the intriguing world of chemical reactions and hands-on experiments. After that, we’ll dive into two exciting new themes: "Game Lab," where students will explore the science behind games and strategy, and "Eco Warriors," where we’ll focus on environmental conservation and ways we can all make a positive impact on the planet. It’s going to be an engaging and educational month ahead!

Student Achievements

Let’s have a round of applause for our students of the week for the month of December!

  • Alicia: Most Enthusiastic

  • Brayden: Most Eagar

Reminders

This is a friendly reminder to review the Happy Hall policies. Understanding these guidelines helps ensure a smooth and enjoyable experience for everyone.

To ensure child safety, your child must check in no later than 10 minutes after the bell rings. If they need to talk to their teacher after school, please remind your child to tell one of our teachers first.

Please notify us if your child will be absent from the program for the day. You can send an email to taylormiddle@happyhall.com, call/text 650.609.1117, or notify us through the 1CORE app

Lastly, please complete our Walk-Home Authorization Form for the following:

  • If you want your child to walk home after sign-out

  • If you would like for your child to meet you in the parking lot for pick-up

  • If your child will be leaving early/coming in late from an on-campus extracurricular activity

Looking Ahead

Next month, we’ll continue our journey with the "Eco Warriors" theme, diving deeper into environmental conservation and discovering more ways we can protect our planet. We’re also excited to introduce two new themes: "Rhythms of the World," where students will explore the global diversity of music and rhythm, and "Art of Animation," where they’ll learn about the creative process behind animation and storytelling. It’s shaping up to be an inspiring and dynamic month of learning!
