MEALS & SNACKS
All young minds and bodies require the right fuel to flourish. At our preschool, we understand the importance of nourishing our students throughout the day. ​ Mealtime is more than just about eating; it's a crucial time for learning and bonding. Our snacks, served family-style, foster a sense of community and sharing among children. This setup allows them to practice essential skills such as passing, sharing, and enjoying food together. It’s a daily opportunity for our children to strengthen social bonds and develop important interpersonal skills in a joyful, communal setting. Through these moments, we aim to not only nourish their bodies but also to enrich their social learning experiences, ensuring they develop patience, gratitude, and the joy of sharing meals with friends. These experiences are integral to building a foundation for healthy eating habits and strong interpersonal relationships. MORNING SNACK (Prepared by Happy Hall) To kickstart the day, Happy Hall prepares a nutritious morning snack. We offer a variety of wholesome choices that energize and engage young minds. LUNCH (Freshly Prepared On-Site) Our dedicated cook prepares fresh, hot meals daily, ensuring lunchtime is a highlight of the day. These meals are carefully crafted to meet the nutritional needs of young children, offering a balance of proteins, carbohydrates, and vegetables. Our menu rotates regularly to introduce students to a wide range of flavors and ingredients, encouraging a love for healthy eating from a young age. AFTERNOON SNACK (Prepared by Happy Hall) To maintain energy and focus through the afternoon, Happy Hall provides an afternoon snack. We offer healthy, tasty options that expose children to new flavors and textures in a fun and educational way.

FRANK
Director
Frank boasts an impressive 39 years of experience both in the classroom and as a director, with an AA degree including over 32 ECE units. Over his illustrious career, he has held positions as a Regional Manager and Curriculum Specialist, and has even spearheaded the opening of schools for renowned organizations. Frank's expertise extends to intricate knowledge of licensing regulations, training, and exemplary time management. Outside of his professional role, he cherishes gardening, landscaping, cooking, and has a profound love for animals, particularly dogs. Frank lives by the ethos: "Our possibilities are endless... Kindness is free... and you always have a choice. Live your life without regrets."
BRENDA
Lead Teacher
Brenda is a dedicated member of the Happy Hall team, having joined in 2021. She became our Preschool Lead Teacher in Cedar Class. With over a decade of experience as a nanny, Brenda has honed her expertise in working with children. After taking a hiatus, she realized her true passion lay in nurturing young minds through education. Currently pursuing her Associates in Latino American studies with a specialized focus on Early Childhood, Brenda is committed to enhancing her knowledge and skills in the field. Outside of her professional pursuits, Brenda's interests span a wide spectrum. She dives into the pages of a good book and takes delight in experimenting with culinary creations during her leisure time. Immersing herself in the vibrant atmosphere of music festivals is a cherished activity that fuels her energy and creativity. Brenda's multifaceted background and dedication make her an invaluable asset to the Happy Hall community.
ANA
Teacher
Ana Parada is an aspiring early childhood educator currently enrolled in the early childhood education program at Diablo Valley College. Ana plans to pursue a master's degree to further enrich her knowledge and skills in the field. Building on her two years of experience at Bright Stars in Concord, Ana brings a wealth of practical insights to her role. As she embarks on her first year at Happy Hall School, her genuine excitement lies in witnessing children flourish and grow, fostering a love for learning from a young age. Beyond the classroom, Ana loves spending cherished moments with her family. Camping adventures, leisurely walks, dancing and the tranquility of the beach hold a special place in her heart.
JADE
Teacher
Jade began her career in the child care field in 2015, initially entering it somewhat unexpectedly. However, it didn't take long for her to discover the profound joy and fulfillment that comes from working with children, leading her to realize that teaching was not just a job, but her true passion. She is particularly drawn to the natural curiosity of children and thrives on the fact that every day presents a new adventure, a testament to her dedication and love for early childhood education. By 2024, Jade's commitment and passion for her work were recognized when she was appointed as the Director at Happy Hall @ Ocean Shore, a prestigious role that underscores her skills, dedication, and impact in the field of early childhood education. This position allowed her to further influence the development and growth of children in her care, marking a significant milestone in her professional journey. Outside of her work, Jade enjoys a range of activities that reflect her creative and adventurous spirit. She is an avid crafter, finds solace and excitement in hiking, and expresses her love for creativity through cooking and baking. These hobbies not only provide her with personal fulfillment but also enrich her professional practice by incorporating her diverse interests into her work with children. Jade is committed to her professional development, currently holding 12 units in Early Childhood Education (ECE) and actively pursuing further education in the field. This ongoing learning journey highlights her dedication to excellence and her desire to continuously improve her skills and knowledge. Additionally, Jade is CPR and First Aid certified, ensuring she is well-equipped to provide a safe and nurturing environment for the children under her care. Her journey from stumbling into the field of child care to becoming a director at Happy Hall @ Ocean Shore is a testament to her passion, dedication, and the positive impact she has on the lives of young learners.
MAYEVI
Teacher
Mayevi, is from Guatemala and with Spanish as her native language, brings a rich cultural perspective to our community. Currently, Mayevi is embarking on her educational journey in Early Childhood Education at Skyline College, with aspirations to earn her Bachelor's and even Master's Degree in the future. Mayevi's journey into the world of childcare began as a babysitter, caring for children aged 2 to 10. Her experience over the past four years has been a stepping stone to her current role at Happy Hall, where she is excited to witness children's development, growth, and language acquisition while having fun. Her interests and passions extend beyond her professional pursuits. Mayevi's heart belongs to her homeland, as she loves traveling through Guatemala and embracing its beauty. Spending quality time with family and cherishing moments with her beloved dog, Bimbo, are sources of happiness. Her deep connection to her faith finds expression through her devotion to attending church.
VIVIENA

Viviena has been a preschool teacher for over 12 years, enriching the lives of young learners. Prior to her preschool journey, Viviena also imparted her expertise as an art teacher for grades K-8. Her passion for creativity extends beyond the classroom. Outside of her professional role, Viviena enjoys engaging with various artistic pursuits. Playing music, nurturing a garden, and exploring the art of planting are all passions that reflect her vibrant spirit. Her love for adventure takes her on journeys through travel and serene walks along the beach, enriching her life and perspective. OLIVER
Chef
Oliver Meza brings over two decades of experience to his role as the cook at Happy Hall School. He began his culinary journey as a sub chef at the Elks Lodge Club. At Happy Hall, Oliver is dedicated to providing nutritious and delicious meals, with a focus on understanding the unique dietary needs of children. When he's not crafting meals, Oliver enjoys staying active by walking and playing football with his kids, reflecting his commitment to a healthy, balanced lifestyle. His passion for cooking and dedication to children's health make him a valued member of the Happy Hall team.
MONICA
Lead Teacher
Monica is a cornerstone of our team, embodying excellence as the TK Lead Teacher in the Redwood Class. Her journey within the Happy Hall community is a testament to her unwavering commitment, having spent an impressive 13 years with us in various significant roles. Transitioning from her role as the esteemed Preschool Lead Teacher in the Yellow Class, Monica's impact is far-reaching. Her tenure at Happy Hall is marked by a remarkable trajectory, having previously taught in the Red Class, taken the helm as Lead in the Orange Class, and subsequently assuming the Lead position in the Yellow Class. Notably, Monica's personal investment in our institution extends beyond her professional contributions; her own children's successful graduation from Happy Hall underpins her deep alignment with our values and educational philosophy. Monica showcases her dedication to her craft, holding a degree in Child Development from Skyline College. Her expertise is brilliantly illuminated through her adeptness in cultivating self-help skills and nurturing profound connections among our children. BETZA
Teacher
Betza is a dedicated educator with an impressive 26 years of teaching experience, over four of which have been devoted to early childhood education. Her professional journey includes serving as a lead teacher for 2, 3, and 4-year-old classrooms at His Kids Academy in Louisville, Kentucky. Her commitment to education is underscored by her recent pursuit of ECE courses, further enhancing her expertise. Betza graduated magna cum laude with honors from the UPNFM of Honduras, attaining a bachelor's degree as a Professor in the Teaching of English as a Foreign Language. Beyond her academic pursuits, Betza is a proud parent to two daughters, one son, and a joyful three-year-old grandson. Her home is also shared with three pets: Nina (dog), Sarang (cat), and Mei (cat). In her leisure moments, Betza indulges in various activities. Karaoke nights, cooking, and going to the movies. Her passion for early childhood education is underpinned by her belief in its paramount importance in shaping the foundation for a successful life.
JANUARY
Teacher
January embarked on her educational path at Skyline College, where she earned her certificate in Surgical Technology. While waiting for her final exam in the surgical field, she ventured into a different realm, working as a teacher's aide at a child care staffing agency, where she frequently lent her talents to the Happy Hall community. Her passion for education and nurturing young minds led her to Kindercare in Palo Alto, where she worked closely with toddlers. During this time, January's commitment to her craft shone through as she pursued and completed her certificate in Early Childhood Education, further enhancing her ability to create impactful learning environments. January's decision to work with children is rooted in her fascination with their behavior and her unwavering embrace of daily challenges. Beyond her professional pursuits, she finds immense joy in cultivating strong bonds with her family and relishing the beauty of nature through leisurely walks. These moments of connection and serenity complement her dynamic professional pursuits, reflecting her well-rounded approach to life.
QUINNY
Teacher
Queenie is originally from Guangzhou, China, where she completed her university education and worked as a chemical engineer. After immigrating to the U.S., Queenie shifted her career focus to child development. She holds an Associate Degree in Child Development from City College of San Francisco and is currently pursuing her Bachelor's in Early Child Development at Edvance College. Queenie also holds a Child Development Teacher Permit from the California Commission. With over five years of experience as a child educator and Chinese school teacher in the Bay Area, she is passionate about helping children grow and thrive. In her free time, Queenie enjoys cooking, reading, and gardening. She currently works with toddlers and kinders.
ANA LUCIA
Lead Teacher
Ana brings a wealth of experience to the Happy Hall team, having dedicated over a decade to the early childhood field. Her journey with us began in 2020 in Maple Class transitioning to our Preschool Lead for Birch Class where her expertise has shone brightly. Ana Lucia's educational background includes studies at the City College of San Francisco and San Francisco State University, which have helped shape her understanding of child development. Her passion for nurturing young minds ignited during her senior year of high school when she volunteered at a preschool, setting her on a path of commitment to early education. This journey continued as she worked as a babysitter and Spanish tutor for young children, fostering meaningful connections. With a family-oriented approach, Ana Lucia emphasizes the significance of establishing strong emotional bonds with each child under her care. When not engaged in educational pursuits, Ana Lucia finds solace at the beach and joy in the rhythm of Latin dancing.
PAULINA
Lead Teacher
In December 2020, Paulina graduated from San Francisco State University, earning a Bachelor's degree in Child Development with a Minor in Public Health. Her experience with children extends over five years. She's been a lead daycare teacher and a nurturing nanny, gaining insights into the nuanced world of child care. Her enthusiasm for joining Happy Hall and contributing to our community is palpable, promising exciting times ahead. Paulina finds joy in the simple pleasures of life, whether it's spending quality time with friends, cooking, or weightlifting. Paulina's energetic approach to life, coupled with her passion for child development, makes her a valued asset to our team. DOLORES
Teacher
Dolores brings experience and a genuine passion for working with children to our team. With an impressive 26 years of experience in the field, her journey began in 1994 with the birth of her oldest daughter, which ignited her desire to make a positive impact on young lives. Dolores took proactive steps by pursuing Early Childhood Education units, kickstarting her career as a dedicated preschool teacher. Over time, her dedication and knack for fostering children's growth led her to transition to kindergarten, where she continued to excel in creating nurturing learning environments. However, an adventurous spirit led Dolores to explore the corporate world for a while, embracing a 9-5 schedule. Yet, her heart never truly left her first love – working with children. Dolores returned to her true calling in the past five years. Her reentry into the world of education was marked by a renewed enthusiasm to guide and nurture young minds. Beyond the classroom, Dolores finds joy in her travels, often journeying to her East Coast hometown or exploring the scenic beauty of California, where she enthusiastically cheers on her son during basketball games. As a parent of two children, Kenya brings a wealth of personal experience that enhances her professional perspective. With an impressive 21-year tenure at Happy Hall, Rosa brings a wealth of experience and a genuine passion for Early Childhood Education. She honed her skills at San Francisco City College, earning her Early Childhood Education units, which have been the foundation of her remarkable journey. Rosa's approach to teaching is as vibrant as it is effective. Through engaging songs and captivating circle time activities, she introduces the joy of learning Spanish to the children in her care. Her dedication goes far beyond language; Rosa takes pride in nurturing children's holistic development. Lead Teacher
Angelica, is our Preschool Lead Teacher in Willow Class, joining Happy Hall in 2021. She has a decade-long tenure specializing in preschool education. Her extensive experience includes roles as an art teacher at Genentech 2nd Generation Bright Horizons and Stratford Elementary. Beyond her educational pursuits, Angelica's artistic talents extend into the realm of music. When she's not engaged in teaching, she's immersed in the world of R&B Pop music, using her voice to create harmonious melodies. Her commitment to both education and creative expression make Angelica an invaluable asset to the Happy Hall community.
ALYSSA
Teacher
Alyssa recently completed her Associate's in Arts and is majoring in Early Childhood Education. She began her journey working as a teacher’s assistant for 2-3-year-olds at Young World Preschool in Daly City and later worked as a school-age teacher for 2nd and 3rd graders at Ynez Elementary School, providing homework help and enrichment activities. Alyssa’s skills include classroom management, lesson planning, supervision, teaching enrichment, arts and crafts, and she is CPR certified with a solid knowledge of childhood development. Having previously worked in Happy Hall’s school-age program, she now contributes to the preschool program. In her free time, Alyssa enjoys writing poetry, drawing, and painting, and she loves discovering new music and watching movies during her downtime.
JACKY
Teacher
Born and raised in the vibrant city of San Bruno, CA, Jacky’s journey into the world of childcare started early. As a sibling and family friend, she instinctively embraced the role of a caregiver, fostering connections with young ones. High school marked a pivotal point for Jacky, as she extended her passion to volunteering at an after-school program in an elementary school. A turning point came when she took a Child Development class, initially as part of her general education. This experience ignited her true calling – to be a guiding presence in a child's developmental journey. This realization prompted Jacky to pursue a major in Child and Adolescent Development, aligning her academic path with her innate passion. In May 2022, her dedication culminated in the attainment of a Bachelor's degree from San Francisco State University. Jacky focused on Child and Adolescent Development, with a Concentration in Youth and Out of School, highlighting her commitment to holistic growth. Beyond her educational achievements, Jacky's leisure moments are spent in activities that bring joy and connection. A passion for baking exemplifies her creative side, while spending cherished time with friends and family underlines her strong bonds.
MAURA
Teacher
Maura was born in Managua, Nicaragua. She graduated from UNAN (National Autonomous University of Nicaragua) with a Bachelor’s in Education and a minor in English. She has earned 33 units in ChiId Development. As well as obtaining a Certificate in Administration in Child Development, from City College of San Francisco. She also has a BA in Theology from ELET, to teach Sunday School for adults in her church. Maura has worked with kids for over 20 years, ranging from infants and toddlers to Pre-K. She enjoys chatting with everyone, laughing and dancing at family’s parties.
SUSAN
Teacher
Susan, a seasoned childcare professional with an incredible journey spanning 37 years. Her commitment to nurturing young minds has been unwavering, even extending to running her own at-home daycare at one point. Susan's passion for children's growth is evident in her diverse experiences. Her pursuit of knowledge led her to City College and San Francisco State, where she honed her skills in Early Childhood Education. A testament to her dedication, Susan's educational background complements her extensive hands-on experience. Beyond her professional endeavors, Susan's life is a tapestry of rich experiences. Her journey of 34 years in marriage has been blessed with 4 children and 6 grandchildren, reflecting her deep love for family. Her adventurous spirit has taken her to over 39 countries, adding a global perspective to her rich tapestry. Susan's interests are as diverse as her experiences. From cooking to singing, gardening to reading, writing to floral arranging, she embraces creativity and exploration in various forms. Her awe of the innate curiosity children possess fuels her drive to create dynamic learning environments.
